~~ 2007 Peacemaker Award ~~

On January 9, 2008 Peaceful Gatherings honored Joan Overman with its first Peacemaker Award in recognition of her longstanding commitment to peace and social justice.

Overman was feted during a celebration at First United Methodist Church in Corning with recollections of her important contributions. Regional activists, involved citizens, friends and peace & social justice groups were represented.
